NCE - Núcleo de Cálculos Especiais is a company that is providing services at the area of CAE (Computer aided engineering) with main focus on exploration of new projects as well as the improvement of existing configurations, based on structural analysis. NCE takes part in support, training and optimization of technology transfer to ensure the best use of the software.

Experience

The experience acquired in applications of the FEM is now incorporated to the Know-how of the NCE was consolidated from the use accomplishes of the FEM for the technical team of the company in Projects of Engineering since 1975.

Approach in the engineering methodology

The experience acquired for the NCE in the application of resources of CAE Technology becoming of its use as engineering tool where if it becomes priority the definition of Stages and Phases of a Project, and not only in a context of demonstration of sales of software, where more the visual aspects are valued conceptual of that of the Methodology.
This vision of boarding of the problems of Engineering was consolidated since the first applications of the FEM for the team, in the beginning of the 70´s, therefore as visual resources didn't exist that could sell the image of Technology CAE as a magical tool, the engineer used the Method of the Finite Elements, aware of that its use must to be made by the establishment of a General Procedure of Analysis, based on the one that if can call Criterion of Project.
In this, all the hypotheses formulated for the conception of the relative model of calculation the loads, boundary conditions, mechanical properties of the material, geometry of the structure etc - they must objective be established, serving as basement of the delicate task of interpretation of the results, of luck to offer subsidies to the achievement of the definitive objective

IF THE ENGINEER DOESN´T KNOW MODEL THE PROBLEM WITHOUT THE SOFTWARE, HE DOESN´T HAS TO DO USING THE SOFTWARE.

This vision of Application CAE reflected in the Training Programs and Implantation of CAE Technology on the part of the NCE in the Big Companies of Brazil.
The NCE looked for since the beginning to give the real one has detached the conceptual formation in the Method, having created didactic resources for the transference of this knowledge in compatible levels of deepening with the use of this resource.
